Default 59 front disc conversion

I am curious to know if is there any way to convert to front wheel disc brakes on an original 59 and still maintain the stock rim and hubcap look?

thanks

Wayne

My '61 has stock wheels/hubcabs and front discs from a '73 Camaro - can't help on the details - the conversion was done by a previous owner. It DOES also keep the original master cylinder and has NO proportioning valve. Works perfectly.

thanks - for some reason i thought if you went to disc you were not able to keep the original wheels

Prob depends on what equipment you use for the conversion.
On my '66 Mustang conversion I had to grind about 1/8" of each caliper to clear the wheels. No biggee...

We recently used the front disc conversion from Corvette Central. Really nice setup.

IF you were to use the 65 & up 4-piston calipers you would have to change to disc brake wheels.
