Hi all I am trying to help a friend adjust his doors. I think the hardest part of the whole job is to get the Lock ****
Off the recessed part of the door panel without any damage. I tryed to push the panel in but there is not much
room for the Clip Removal Tool to slide in behind it and remove the clip.
Anyone have a trick or is it a special tool that I need to remove them. Any thoughts
Thanks in advance JOE

I believe that smeone suggested using an old awl, with just the tip bent over at 90 degrees (to catch the clip and pull it free). You might want to file the point off the awl first, just in case. good luck!
Help any other help or thoughts will be great
I don’t want to mess up his door panels THANKS

Joe,
I took mine of with the same tool you use to remove the window cranks. K-D tools makes it and most parts stores have it. I think I paid about 10-15 bucks for it.
The clip holding the door lock **** is just like the window and vent crank clips but like the originals post the crank tool will not fit into the door panel recess for the lock *****. I found a set of picks which have a 90 degree angle at a local car part store and placed one one each side of the **** and was able to push off the clip without marring the door panel or scratching the ****. Even with these tools I had to be careful. You are correct to go easy here and get tools which do the job.
I took mine off last week to replace my old pitted exterior door handles. I ordered a window crank removal tool from Eckler's, but then noticed the exact same tool at my local Checker Auto Parts store. I think it was ~$5 or something.
