Came over to this section of the forum looking around. I can remember restoring (body off) my C1 and how much fun it was including parts hunting. There were parts cars behind barns and in the junk yard as well back then. No internet or forums back then, sure would have been nice. I eat my heart out seeing these older corvettes. Sure would like to do another but I am just too old. Have fun!
It is a 270 HP, top tank rad with a 4 speed. These are pictures of the car from the new owner from last year, just the way he got it. I ran it with the hard top, I never took it off.

Beautiful car Ken! But, help us Vette guys out a little. How old is too old?

Don't hang it up just yet!
At 62 I bought a POS so I could teach myself how to paint a car.
At 65 I bought a welder and a rustbucket so I could learn to weld.
(Still can't weld that well , but I'm getting really good with an angle grinder.)
I can't wait to finish my current project in a couple of years so that I can move on to the next one.....I know there's a neglected Traction Avant out there with my name on it, and then a Sirex, and then...
I'll turn 70 on July 22nd and am Happy to report I've driven Corvettes since I was 15. Just had Librandi's re-chrome the Bumpers on my 67 Coupe and will install them as soon as it warms up a little. I still get on it and Throw a Gear or Two when the Mood requires! Al W.
67 here and still driving the vette and squeezing into Austin Healeys.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were.

One of my favorite quotes of all time...I use it all the time. I turn 66 tomorrow, feel like 36 and sometimes still act like i'm 16. Age is nothing more than a number. I prefer to think of tomorrow as the 27th anniversary of my 39th birthday. These cars are like a time machine to many of us...they tend to keep us young (in heart and mind, at least).
