The "Coupester" Feature

I suppose you could use air shocks for height adjustment, though they probably aren't the best for handling.
Regardless, i have seen significant paint scrapes and 'glass crack on the front under panel below the grill on lowered C1s, and other slammed cars in general.
Usually right after the driver did it and they were outside swearing up a storm ..... Not sure if they forgot to raise their car, or it simply didn't raise up at all.
When i bought the TCI frame for my '37 Ford pickup, it came with drop spindles, which i had to exchange for normal height spindles, and also got special back spacing 16" wheels made to fit stock height tires on, other wise, the frame was set up so the grill would have been about 2" off the pavement with the supplied spindles, and 14" wheels people usually use to clear the front fenders.
Its hard to buy an aftermarket frame that doesn't significantly lower the vehicle.
here is a pic of my Ferrari, which is at stock height. I have to be real careful with that on driveway aprons, and approach at an angle.

You should listen to the bitching on the Ferrari forum when somebody lowered their Ferrari an extra inch or two, because it "looks so good", then two weeks later they have to take an unplanned detour on an unfamiliar road, or exit a parking lot at a straight angle and do $10,000 damage to their car.
