Yesterday's question was about the when and where of this particular vintage photo. The where has been determined (Laguna Seca,) but no one has positively identified the '63 (?) in the photo.
One guess mentions a Red Faris as the owner/driver.

Red Faris was a middle-aged but very competitive C1 and C2 racer based in California. Bill Sherwood and Paul Reinhart were a couple of his buddies.
You might look in Karl Ludvigsen's "Star-Spangled Sports Car" hardcover book for some Faris Sting Ray pictures you can compare with the car in this thread.
AIR Faris was a government contractor with several projects in Vietnam.
Why the nickname? His real first name was Elmer.
