Vent window T bracket/hinge rivets
I've read every thread I can find, but no one seems to have a simple process for installing T bracket/hinge rivets. Does anyone know how to install these rivets?

I'm guessing this is in regards to a midyear convertible. I could not find an easy way, but I was able to do it the hard way by building a tool to perform the operation. I have a milling machine and a lathe so it wasn't difficult for me to do. Something similar could be fabricated with steel by welding nuts onto a piece of channel iron. Or maybe even with vice grips if you put a small steel ball into the open end of the semi-tubular rivet. I bought my new "T"s years ago and found that they had them improperly identified. The one that was supposed to be for the right side was actually for the left, and vice versa. Hopefully the ones you have are correct. Also, the new rivets that came with them were the wrong size, so I would check that as well.
