Default Shocks

Want to replace the shocks on this 66. There must be other posts on this but I can't find them. If anyone can direct me to them, I'd appreciate it. Or any thoughts on Bilstein HD or SP. Thanks.

I changed out my 2 year Delco's for the Bilstein HD's back in January. I did a report back then. Just search Bilstein vs Delco. The ride is slightly firmer but the car really feels better at interstate speeds. They are pricy but I like them. My springs are stock.

Bilstein HDs are perfect for stock springs, firm sporty ride. The sports are autocross /track shocks.

Exactly my opinion too. I've had the HDs on my '67 for many years and they are great for both street and autocross. The Sports are waaay to firm for the street.

Default Thanks

for the input. HD's seem to be the way to go. That was quick.

In looking at the GM service manual for shock replacement, it looks like they can be done with the wheels on and loaded. Am I reading that right?

I use KYBs on my '58. I love them.
