A/C A6 compressor
Anyone purchase or have experience with a rebuilt A6 compressor from Classic Air in Florida.Looking for feedback to there quality and longevity. Also including the leaky front seal replacement.They charge $300 for a complete rebuilt unit.

I heard a lot of good things and bad. I ended up finding a local shop to work on mine. The A6 was used well up to the early 90's in trucks and farm tractors. There should be shop who can work on them. Then if something did fail you can talk to them in person

There is only one person I would currently trust to rebuild an A6 Compressor. That is Dom Tallarita in California. Dom now posts on this forum. You can send him a PM.
New A6 compressors are also now available. Only issue is that threads are metric. Company is in Michigan. I believe that they use a double-lip seal in these new units.

A6 compressor
They did one for me, leaked oil from the get-go and they would not stand behind their warranty. Told me to keep driving the car with the AC on & it should eventually quit leaking because the seal was not broken in. The only way it would quit was if it was to give out of oil. Talk to Domenic T. The best in the business.
