Default wiper help

Lifted driver side wiper to clean windshield on my 66 a little metal piece fell out it has 2 holes and is curved at one end. I think it attaches to the spring, can I attach it with the wiper on the car ( how does it attach) if not how do I take off wiper? Thanks as always for any help.

If it's the long flat piece, it just snaps onto the inside of the hollow part of the wiper arm. Got a picture?

If you're talking about the piece with the red arrow, It just snaps into place.

Thanks for reply- it is a piece on the inside of that cover piece, it attaches to the spring but I can't pull hard enough on the spring to get it to clip on, I guess it gives the wiper tension to stay on windshield, any ideas ???
