1967 Stalling

1961 Stalling
Hi everybody,
I am hoping the experts here could help with a problem that my Dad is having with his 1961 Corvette. It has the carbureted 283 ci engine. It stalls while idling and it also stalls when accelerating from a stop. You have to really give it a lot of gas while accelerating from a stop or it will stall. However, once cruising or accelerating at speed it runs fine. We've taking it to a well regarded mechanic who says everything seems to be adjusted correctly.

What engine - 250hp? 300hp? Fuelie?
What transmission - Powerglide, 4-speed, 3-speed?
Are the carburetor and distributor stock, or modified?
Got a picture or two of the underhood area?
The title you applied says '67, but the post says '61 - which is it?

Is it 1 4bbl (245hp) or 2 4bbl's (270hp)? Maybe your "well regarded mechanic" might start by making sure the choke is set correctly and or cleaned so it moves and sets up as designed. Engine MUST be DEAD COLD!

Well, if everything was adjusted correctly, it wouldn't be stalling. Need more info:
What engine - 250hp? 300hp? Fuelie?
What transmission - Powerglide, 4-speed, 3-speed?
Are the carburetor and distributor stock, or modified?

Engine is the 283 ci with the 2 4bbl's, I believe it is 270 hp.
Transmission is the 4 speed.
Carburetor and distributor are stock.
I've attached a picture of the engine.
