What is this
I am installing a new interior and stereo in my 65 coupe. While doing the stereo install this showed up in the dash,I new to all this old Vette stuff, can anyone tell me what the blue thing is? Also the other thing above it,looks like a light for maybe the clock?

I'm thinking you meant to show a pic but it isn't in your post so I/we can't help you at this time. Post a photo showing the "blue thing" you're referring to. The clock does have a light, so that's most likely the other "thing".

The round can with two metal prongs attached to the black electrical plug (the "blue thing") dangling in your photo is your turn signal flasher - it mounts to a metal clip which attaches to the driver side radio panel. The other hanging object is the torpedo lamp, it clips to a slot at the bottom of the clock housing, and its job is to illuminate the heat control bezels
The lamp is not the radio light - that light is a component of the radio and is integral to the radio, comes out with the radio, is a bare bulb does not have a metal hood. The dangling light in the photo is called the "torpedo lamp" and mounts to the slot at the bottom of the clock housing and lights up the heater bezels...
