I initially thought these were allignmemt pins but not only are they welded to frame but they're glassed into the body. One under each seat. It doesnt look like the body has ever been removed. I don't have another car to compare. I'm planning a body off and am wondering what to do with these. Thanks
I have an early 54 and these are not found on my car....my guess would be these may be reinforcement attachments for after market seat belts. Pretty cleaver way to secure the belt to something meaningful. Like the frame. Others may chime in but this would be my observation.
Don't see how they could be seat belt hangers if no hole in body glass. Second pic looks like keeping the floor area from moving up and down like a drum
No, doesn't seem to be for seat belts, only one per side and I think wrong position for that use. There are no signs of any patch or repair to the floors. Just one of those oddities I guess. Thanks.
I have owned about 7 1954 Corvettes all in different stages and I have never seen anything like that in any of the cars I have owned. I am sure it is not Factory installed.
Thanks for the replies. It doesn't appear the body has ever been off, it does have minor work on pass. front, and the frame is crusty but solid. It has all original items, shocks, springs, etc. missing the radio and speaker.
