Body prep for paint
I am almost ready to give the 61 over to a body shop for prep and paint.
There is limited shops with fibreglass body experience where I live so I am looking to arm myself with some good info on this subject before I speak to a few body shops.
I am seeking advice on what products and methods are best practice for preparing Corvette bodies for paint. The front clip is aftermarket and the rest is factory in pretty good shape. The front clip has some stress cracking here and there and needs some holes filled.
I do not want any cracks or bubbles coming up down the track after it is painted. I am hoping for a long lasting paint job. It will be painted black all over.
