split window rear trim help please

Hey guys,
I'm trying to remove the rear window trim on my 63 split window. Does the trim come off as a lot of the older GM cars such as Camaros,chevelles exc...? same style clips? I am using the same tool Ive had forever and just cant seem to get a bite on any of the clips. Is there a trick to this? thanks ! Steve

If the retaining clips are like mine were they are buried in the sealer that was applied at the factory with the "flow gun". In other words you are seeking to get through between a 1/4 and 3/8 of an inch of "gum" that you can't see with the moldings in place. Take your tool and "run silent, run deep".

I put mine in sun to pull trim off the black stuff was a real pain to clean off.
