Those of us building projects at home are doing it for different reasons than financial sense. Ditto people farming out work.

Buy a done car at a fair price unless you WANT to get into the work.

Obviously you will get wide opinions around here.
Thanks.

I have a friend who is a private investigator and he did a quick look into the owner. He is the President/CEO of a mid size company in Cali. I suspect that he is something like me and is selling to add to his collection. Just wanted to throw out the ad to see if any of you C1 guys saw anything obviously wrong with the car. I'm going to speak to the owner later today and I have some questions, so thanks again for the advice.

I didn't see a picture of the VIN plate in the driver's side door jamb. Be sure it's there if you intend to buy. Powerglides aren't for everyone, but I liked to one I had. I've owned 8 '56/'57s. If they're properly set up and wearing radials they can drive almost as well as a C2. You probably were already aware that they won't drive like one of your modern sports cars, but they're pretty good for a 59 year old car. This car has a nice stance. Somebody might say the springs look tired, but don't believe it. If you look at pictures of them when they were new, they sat just like that. Appears to be a nice car, but an expert inspection would be money well spent/

I should have added that the interior pictures are not good. You should have lots of close up, detailed interior pictures. Carpet installation looks amateurish. Seats look OK, but it's hard to tell. No meaningful picture of the dash. Everything other than the carpet installation might be OK, but there's no way to know from those pictures.
