Looking hard at the Mass-Flo EFI system for my '60. It is sequential with an injector over each intake valve using their intake. The ECM ties in throttle position, RPM, mass-flow and O2 sensors in the exhaust to fine tune your mixture for the conditions and engine load. The ECM is tunable and can be retuned if forced induction or cam changes are made in the future.
So is anyone using this system on the forum? Has there been any reliability or sensitivity issues experienced by users? Some units are sensitive to heat and vibration.
I do not have any direct knowledge of the Mass-Flo system, but most of the newer systems also offer spark control and are self tuning, just something to consider when looking for an EFI system.
Black 60 I have the Mass Flo on my 65 327 350. Has been installed for about three years and thousands of miles. No problems. Heat and vibration no problem since I have a stiff suspension and live in Miami. Can run any grade of gas and fires right up, emissions much lower, and gas mileage improved greatly. Suggest you get a in tank fuel pump. I didn't and the electric pump is loud. Also check intake height as they use a single plane intake which is better for port injection but maybe higher than your current intake. My engine is the one pictured in their advertisements. Put the ECU and ob port in the glove box. Mine is an early model and was self learning.

RJ:
Thank you. That's the input I'm looking for. Wish there was a set-up in Western Massachusetts I could test drive. Is the acceleration smooth and without hitches or hesitation?
What exhaust manifolds do you have? Bob at XP said block huggers don't flow as well as cast iron rams horns but full length headers yield the best results.
I've used the mass-flo system 3 times now and I have nothing but praise for Mass-flo/Pro M. The first time i installed it on a car was in 05 and I was amazed that the engine started right up without issue on the first try and I was on the road 30 minutes later. Chris, the owner, is an extremely nice guy and he will help you out through the entire process. The new system is still self tuning, but you can also adjust different variables with a laptop, unlike the old system.
I agree that you should install an in-tank fuel pump.
Black60 I have a 5 speed and the car will pull nicely in 5th gear at as low as 1000 rpms. Lots of low end torque and very smooth taking off. I have long tube headers going into side pipes. As mentioned above Chris the owner will take calls and help with anything that comes up. I love the system. Like a modern engine.

Black 60 Bob and Ben at XP did much of the work on my car and are great to work with. Most of their work is on performance and racing Corvettes.

Ralph....now what are you doing? Did you decide to get a new chassis or other set up?
Hi Herb:
My Corvette Correction frame arrives next week. C-4 suspension is cleaned and waiting. Using my existing 355 and Richmond 5spd. I really like my engine transmission combo but not the carburetor. Narrowed my EFI choices to the Mass-Flo unit as it hits all the points I want addressed. Just researching reliability.

Searching for long tube full length headers to fit a Billy Dawson frame under a '60 if anyone knows of any.
Bob was very helpful. Wish I was closer to FL.
