Paint bubbled
I was at a show and shine in Reno 2 weeks ago and left the hood up to show the engine compartment.
The sun reflected off the chrome Air Cleaner and on the the belly of my hood only concentrated like a magnifiing glass. I covered the air cleaner but the damage was done. You can track the earths rotation around the sun on my Hood by the 1 inch by 25 inch bubble :cry I guess I know what next winters project is.
I have since been to a show and shine since the incedent and took " Best of Show" Hosted by the local Fords of the 50's club :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: I thought that was worth mentioning :blueangel:

Sorry to hear that, I'm sure it made you :U
I had the very same track on my hood after leaving the hood opened at a meet one Sat.
I guess I was lucky, it only discolored the wax and I was able to clean it off..
It may be that it made it through because the 37 year old paint should be fully cured by now :lol:

I will still pop the hood at shows but I sewed a cover for the air cleaner speaking of air cleaner did you know that K&N makes a filter that fits the 365 horse filter housing.
