my new project: '66 427/425 vert!
she showed up on the transport this morning....can't wait to get busy!! triple black, 4-speed, matching #'s.
yeah, i know the pic sucks...i'll get some more. transport showed up right before work this morning!! car was purchased from forum member with this build thread going........

Sad for the original builder, but happy for you and looking forward to seeing the build continue. Looks like he was making good progress up until March of this year. Hope he is doing alright!

For my money a '66 L72 convertible is the absolute pinnacle of Corvettedom. The '66 has all the chrome, the best side louvers, the best big block hood and the L72 has all the go-fast goodies without the hassle of three carburetors. If I had one I figure I'd likely never have the want for a different Corvette.

For my money a '66 L72 convertible is the absolute pinnacle of Corvettedom. The '66 has all the chrome, the best side louvers, the best big block hood and the L72 has all the go-fast goodies without the hassle of three carburetors. If I had one I figure I'd likely never have the want for a different Corvette.

Congrats on a nice find, and of course you know at leat one of us will be watching your progress carefully.
You will definitely enjoy taking younger new Camaro and Mustang owners for a spin. Most of em have no clue these things can actually get out of their own way.

My 70 454 has chrome and that was stock for the model year.
