Default 55 washer jar bracket?

Is this the correct washer jar bracket for an early 55? The mounting holes do not match up to the holes in the inner fender wall which I believe is original. Note the lower mount of the bracket is angled versus the upper mount. Is there another smaller bracket that I may be missing?

Thanks, Roy. The photos are very helpful. By any chance is the bracket you have pictured for sale?

Hi Roy,

Yes, I have a reproduction 3 piece lower shroud and the upper as well.

Thanks. You are a great repository of info on the 55s! Mine is not completely original (engine and drivetrain have been modified) but I am trying to keep as much of the rest of the car close to original.

Thanks again

[QUOTE=Ktholin;1590205392]Hi Roy,

I misunderstood. Are you saying the early 55s had a 2 piece shroud, rather than a 3 piece?

No! people think the repro. (3) piece shroud for all 55's is correct ,but early 55 was a (5) piece shroud unit and later 55 was a (4) piece shroud unit. if you look at the picture you see the other (2) pieces of shroud here is the later 55 (1) piece shroud (that's what those small elongated holes in your lower should are for "screws" so that the bottom should don't move . This is in no NCRS judging manual like so many other things.
