1966 roadster 327-350 4spd.
Had the right side headlamp motor hang up,stuck half way. Shut off car, restarted and it opened up fully.Had to shut off car for a minute,went to start totally dead, the only electrical function that works is the horn. All fuses intact,new battery tests fine. Where do i start
The bulkhead connector is a common area for your type of problem. Disconnect the battery first! Separate it very carefully so you don't break one of the tabs. Look for corrosion on any of the connectors, clean with sandpaper. But, the entire engine wire harness may be part of your problem and could resurface in the future. You could have a break in the power feed wire that runs between the starter, alternator and horn relay. How do I know you ask? I just replaced my entire engine bay wire harness because of a no start event. Dennis
The large red wire on the connector closest to centerline of car, just below master cylinder, wiggle it a little and see if you get power back. If so, as said above remove plug and clean and tighten connector. Sometimes it's just corrosion on the pin.
