Default Camshaft id help

Folks, it does not pay to get old. My neighbor's uncle is a retired engineer from GM. Over the years he's been collecting parts to build up a 350 small block. Unfortunately he is in poor health, to the extent that he & his wife are moving to be closer to their son in Vermont.

He wants the motor and parts to go to an "old timer gearhead"...that's me .

Which brings me to 1 of 2 camshafts that needs id'g. Written on the box is: Camshaft Machine #115804. I'm not in his garage (he's on the other side of town). Thought posting here might jog someone's archived old catalogue, cross referencing to, perhaps to a GM part #.

The block he's got has this casting #3970010. Mortec says it could be a 302, 327 or 350. My neighbor's uncle says it's a 350 out of a '77 NOMAD and has 4 bolt mains. We'll be pulling it apart to verify (dropping the pan).

So, what say you on that camshaft.

Thanks guys.

Jim

Hi Keith,

I did just that. Spoke with a Sharon who called me back to confirm this is the solid lifter cam for the 365 HP motors offered in '64 and '65.

Specs are:

Cam lift I/E: .323

Valve lift I/E: .485

Duration at .050: 254

Advanced duration: 314

SAE duration: 245

Base circle diameter: 1.230

LSA: 114

GM3849346

Thanks Keith.
