Default project generator

Anybody considering restoring their own generator it's really not that hard at all.
This was my first attempt at disassembling, cleaning, painting and reassembling of a 043 generator for the first time. This is not a how to, just a collection of pictures that might help someone in the future.

One of the leads was broken off

Cleaned up using 1000 grit sandpaper

This way up

I replaced the field coils with a set that I removed from another generator because the lead was broken off and too short

Cleaned up with new bearing installed

Starting to go back together with new bearing installed

Blasted all the old paint off

Case was painted semi flat black

New brushes

Pulley was painted semi gloss black

End cover painted gloss black

New bearings installed, ready for assembly

I had to heliecoil the adjustment bolt hole

New tag with correct rivets

All put back together
