The car in the ad pic appears to have a TON of clearance at the top, but the fender lip which should be there is not visible. Those should be 6.70 x 15's on the wider (6") aluminum knock-off rims.
The color pics show wider tires on (I presume?) the stock 5 1/2" steelies. Fender lip not showing here either, ample clearance seems to match the ad picture close enough for government work.
The car in the ad looks like it has a lot of negative camber in the rear. Maybe just sitting with a full 36 gallon gas tank?
One of the interesting things is the ad text is that they say you can't fit the people to the car, so we fit the car to the people. So different today. Options are much more limited and you usually have to buy a "package" of options, if they are offered at all, rather than just the ones you want.
Shot at a tighter angle than the blue car picture, maybe it's the front fender's inner lip, perhaps highlighted by the photographer's flash?
Blue car is my 64. I didn't have the room in garage to back up the camera to get the exact shot, but close enough to show what's going on to compare. The ad Corvette looks stock on the rear fender. Also, need a different lens than my phone camera.
That's the front edge of door, not an indent. Look at mine on blue to compare.
We are certainly looking at the ad photo differently, and now the pic of your blue car is gone. I believe I'm looking at the upper front fender recess and it seems to have a raised outline around the forward end of it, as though there was a thin molding around it. In the photo, it is "just" behind the rear edge of the front wheel well.

I see what you're looking at. I think that's just a reflection, like trees or something which continues down the body. If you look at mine, you'll see a reflection there also, but of something in my garage. What makes people think the rear fender is flared is the light blown out upper section of the fender.
I've darken and increased contrast to emphasize. See above before adjustment.
