Default 1967 convertible

hi guys i have a basically stock non matching # smallblock powerglide car
i am interested in keeping and or adding to the suspension performance with an eye on cost and comfort i know its a lot to ask for but right now it has stock front springs that need replacing and a newer multi leaf rear the car is almost unmanageable on rough new england roads it washboards like crazy. Q. is the non metal transverse spring more forgiving? should i try to at least put front coil overs and control arms on this winter with a plan to do rear coil over kit in another yr or two? will i gain anything other than tunability? should i be looking hard at some rear suspension components for my current issues ? i did a eurathane bushing kit and all front end parts last winter with a 3/4 sway bar kit. but have no loyalty to any of it i just want to enjoy the drive without losing fillings

I can't help with your problem, but you are going to catch a bunch of crap for not using punctuation or capital letters. It does make it much harder to read.

Go back to completely stock OEM with all new rubber bushings everywhere that includes body mounts. New stock style shocks and a good radial tire. Your car will ride and handle great.

so the washboarding and rattles you would attribute to hard suspension and body mounts? is the stock spring a multi steel?

If you have not already done so look at the steering box for slop. Keep the stock suspension parts and save your money.
