The frame looks great! I didn't realize you could run 275's on the front, anything special need done to fit them? I am sold on his frame, I just need to get some money together before I get the order started.

Crate engine delivered today. Got a smokin' deal from a dealership in Virginia. PM me if you need info. Mated the 4L65E to the LS3. I was going T56 manual but I decided to heck with it. I want an auto for personal reasons. Im not one to go to the drag strip...I just like a good cruise. Body will be home tomorrow from the sodablaster. Off to bodywork I go!

Looks great Matt, you may want to consider swapping out the oil pan to a C6 version as you will be able to gain some ground clearance doing so. Its going to be close. Brian

Funny that you mention. I just ordered a 12624617 because of this exact thing. It would have been 2 inches lower than the cross member. Thanks Brian!

Finished sodablasting. Body is not too shabby and the birdcage is incredible. Going to start body modifications to the rear tomorrow.

The engine and transmission are successfully on the frame. Tomorrow I will be putting on the Vintage Air front runner. That will dress up the engine nicely. Then I will clean the frame and put a cover on it while I start the bodywork.

I was able to get to a little body cutting today. Someone in the past fiberglassed the fake vents so I cut them out and will be putting on the ones you see clamped to the body. I also cut out the rear end so I can tub the back for the wide tires and larger differential. Next stop, set the body on the frame and fiberglass away.

Progressing nicely! Speaking from experience, I would make sure the patch panels have as much time as possible to cure or those splice lines will show up later. It might be worth your time to invest in an infrared lamp. You probably already know this though.

I did not, however, know to invest in an infrared lamp. I will do a little research. Thank you for the tip!
You are pretty close to me. If you are ever in Nashville, you are welcome to swing out!

I don't have one and I'm not saying you need one. Just get the bonding adhesive and filler in place, then push it out in the hot sun every chance you have. Our southern sun will bake the filler and new patch panels well. You want them to expand and contract as much as possible before paint.

Did you bond those sections in before cutting out the rear floor board? I noticed you dont have the rear supported after it was cut out, which could be an issue. I know it is a coupe, but things still sag when large portions of the structure are removed.
