Default Exterior Rear View Mirror

Hi folks, I'd like to replace my drivers side exterior mirror, mine is all pitted. It has the bowtie logo on it. My question is how to get it off, I see what looks like an allen screw on the outside of it.

Just wondering if you folks have done this if you could tell me the difficulty of this job, I was going to order the one from Paragon part # 1109 it's a GM Restoration part made in the USA,

Thanks, Gary

Couldn't be easier, just remove that screw and the mirror lifts off.

Hard to tell from the pic if your car is a 63 or not. Early 63's have a long base. The one you are ordering is a short base for late 63's through early 67. Just want to make sure you order the right part.

Yup, it doesn't get much easier than that, except for maybe removing the gas cap!

Ok fella's thanks a million, this forum is great. And yes it's the 63-67 mirror, and thanks for telling me that, so many times I've ordered wrong parts, then I have to hear about it from my other half.
