It has the factory heater delete panel, and the dash is correct for a radio/heater delete. Will post up some pics on these later. It also has side pipes and an F41 suspension, m21 and AZ code 3.55 rear end. Question on the side pipes would the mounts for the standard exhaust still be on the car?
I am in Northern Va so the heater will be missed...
Yes on the under car exhaust mount. Is it a varfied real side pipe car.
I have tracked it back to 01 and it was then not that the last 15 years mean too much, there was no wear marks/corrosion on the inside of the standard mounts. No documentation found as of yet, but all of the numbers match and everything adds up. Is there any way to verify the side pipes?

As long as it's not an A.O. Smith car, you've got a shot. This older CF thread should help:

Though the 450HP sticker makes for interesting conversations, I had an older gentleman call me a liar and say that all four barrel BBs were 390HP and then went on about the incorrect hood as all BB were stinger hoods.
You are exceptionally gentlemanly to refer to the fellow as a gentleman!

No. An original factory sidepipe car will not have ANY trace of undercar exhaust pipe hangers, clamps, ground straps, or muffler hangers. Detail guidance on this issue is provided in the NCRS Judging Guide.

So would the frame cross member #2 be solid and not have the two holes?

No, they used the same cross member. Look behind the side pipes. If you see any evidence of cutting, bending back, etc. of the hangers for the lower side moulding, it would not be a factory side pipe car.

Nothing like that, just the cross member which I originally referred to as the exhaust mounts but then looking at diagrams figured out what it was. I should have taken better pics when it was up on the rack will look and see if I took any of that for confirmation from the group.
There is a lot of good old threads that have pictures of what to look for in original side pipe car. So do some searching. But IMHO doing your homework after you bought the car is not the best approach in owing a old car
[QUOTE=C2L72;1590720826]I know I am missing the Ignition Shielding, what else jumps out? What references would you recommend to start getting everything back to factory correct?

This older "expert" you mentioned is wrong wrong wrong. The one and ONLY BB cars that came with the stinger hood were the '67's.
Just thought I'd mention that since no one has pointed this out yet.

Gary
I should have told him the stinger hoods were only on 1966 cars with factory twin turbos and NOS and it was RPOZ69 option

It was originally delivered in Texas to LaRoche Chevy.
No, if an original sidepipe car the mounts for undercar exhaust brackets would not be present. Have you looked to see if it had rocker panel molding supports and if they have been cut off or bent out of the way. There are also several other tips for checking out an original sidepipe car but I would look for the rocker panel brackets first. What does the rear valance panel look like - have exhast pipe penetrations been filled in will glass or bondo or is it smooth inside and out?
Neat car. Probably spent most of it's time in warmer climates which should have helped preserve the chassis components. After that engine rumbles to life you probably won't notice the chill on most drives.

I agree with you on the research, and I did prior to the purchase but I am asking now as people have asked if it was verified side pipe car, and I wanted to verify my verification so to speak. But to some earlier points there are no signs of any bondo/fiberglass patching where the exhaust would have exited. There is no sign of any additional hardware where exhaust would hang, no signs of cutting, bends etc.
