Default C1 ('59) trunk gaps?

Hello, can anyone tell me what the "typical" gaps should measure on the top (deck lid side to divider bow), and the sides of a trunk lid? I have a new PM repro lid that will require trimming, as the weatherstrip lips are very much different widths side to side.... I'm also replacing the rear valance and bottom trunk opening.... is 3/8" typical on those edges? Or is that too much? Cannot find this in my Assembly manual... Thanks a bunch, Ed

3/8 it's a matter of what you would like to see (That's really it )

Thanks Copper... I would like to only see 1/4", but not enough material on the lid to make that happen . So, 3/8" gap all the way around is fairly typical then... Appreciate the info! Thanks again, Ed

You can always build up the gaps to get what you want...if making it like restored than 3/8 is probably fine, but if you are making a street Rod/or other, then tighten them babies up!
