Default 63 340 HP Starter

My starter started to sound like the solenoid was going away , took the starter out yesterday , can anyone tell me what the numbers-code on the side of it means ? They are 1108430 3M 72 , just seeing if it was original ( probably not ) , THANKS !

Numbers don't mean any thing because all the cases are the same, only the nose is the different....Rebuilders just change the nose to whatever fits the engine...

A hint, never add shims as some members have tried...All it does is move the starter AWAY from the ring gear making a bad condition worse
