Help Please.

Without cheating and looking it up, isn't the S suffix on the 870 motor an Impala 327? Built first week of Dec, 61 for 62 model year.

............sort of. (I did cheat and look it up)

It's a 1962 base 327 with a Powerglide in any full size Chevrolet, not just an Impala. Coulda been in a station wagon, or Biscayne, or............

Yeah, that's right... I didn't mean to imply it was only Impala.

I bought an 870 Impala motor last year and noticed someone only had to add a C or a D to the end of the suffix and, "poof", Corvette engine. (As long as it was a Flint block)
