Hi everyone. I just joined a couple of days ago. I have purchased a 59 that need a lot of work, but I am PUMPED. I have wanted an older Vette forever and at 41 I finely have one. I have refurbished several old cars (Camero and Ford) and motorcycles, but no experience with a Corvette. I hope I don't drive you all crazy with my many questions.

I'm pretty new around here too and am very pleased with the help I've gotten here so far. I guess I've had you Corvette guys wrong all along. :p: Maybe you all don't wear black socks with sandals at car shows. LOL
I'm ready to make the step up to a Corvette! Notice that I said "up". ;)

It's great to have another C1 owner join the group. These midyear guys are great, but, ya gotta watch 'em. They'll try to talk you into stickin' a BB in it! Ha! Ha! Just kiddin' guys. Welcome! :cheers:

You'll find this a great place with both high-tech and low-tech fun, and as mentioned already, a super bunch of folks that will provide you with decades of experience... :yesnod:

Oh, by the way, you won't drive anybody crazy here, I think most of us, are alredy there. :jester :lol: :lol: I'm a new guy too, but you will learn to hold your own. :yesnod: :yesnod: Also, Wal Mart is running a special on black socks and don't forget the sandals.
Now to the important stuff, regarding this SB you have in your machine. There may be help out there for you. A forum member (Solidlifters) is always bragging about how many BB's he has. Welcome on board! Thank God for another C1 guy. These Mid Year guys are great, but we get a little tired hearing about BB this and rear suspension failed that! Had my Mid Year years ago (as well as a C3), and figured I should try something different & better (a C1), and I don't regret it a second! Enjoy your 59 and drive it all you can.

Welcome Ray! Good to have another Solid Axle guy on board. The board needs a little more balance with all these flexi axle guys around. :lol: There is a whole lot of knowledgable folks here with a lot of good humor too. Feel free to ask away as that is one of the best ways to learn. The other is of course reading everything you can get your hands on about the solid axle cars. They are a pure joy to drive and the public is appreciative as well when they get to see these cars on the road. :yesnod: A hearty welcome to you. :cheers:

Thanks to Plasticman and K2 for chimin' in! I was beginning to think I'd get run out of town on a "BB" sittin' on independent suspension! Ray, don't pay any mind to those "B"ig "B"lockheads, whoops I mean, the other guys. Deep down, they're a bunch of kittycats. Till the next time! :cheers:
