Default Bad rubber

Hi everyone,
I'm having a heck of a time finding quality vent window seals for my 65 coupe. The seals that I have gotten are nice and smooth on the outside, but have a dull finish on the inside. In addition the inside has small specs of [what appears to be] uncured rubber, and the seal width narrows in the corner, to the point that it does not sit on top of the reveal moulding, but inside leaving a large gap. There has to be a quality vendor somewhere.
Any thoughts ???????

Peter,
You don't state what vendor you used but these guys are well known and produce a quality product.

Thanks for the info. I got the weatherstrip from Corvette Central. I have been pleased with most of their parts, and they have agreed to take it back.

Peter,

I think that Corvette Central gets their rubber from Corvette Rubber Co. You might check with them before you go through a bunch of trouble, and end up with the same part. I believe that Corvette Rubber is the only manufacturer of these seals.

Thanks for the advise. I'm wondering if any of the forum members have had this issue in the past, and what vendor did they use to obtain quality vent window weatherstrips ?

I bought the ones for my 65 coupe directly from Corvette Rubber Co. The fit and appearance was perfect. I might add that they are the only ones that make the correct windshield weatherstrip for C-2 coupes.
