I just replaced the fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, and fuel lines on my 61. I grounded the sending unit. I replaced the complete wiring harness this past summer. The fuel gauge reads accurately. When I step on the brake or use my turn signal the fuel gauge goes to full. Somewhere I've read to add a ground wire to the tail light circuit. Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks
Bill

Do a search on this forum, there has be many posts about this subject.
Just run a separate ground wire from the sender to a good chassis ground.
Joe
I did run a separate ground to the sending unit and I've been searching the forum. I found an article where a guy soldered a separate ground to each tail light socket. I'll try this with a temporary strap and see if it helps
