I looked up left dash pad part numbers in red on corvette America site. 65-67 are the same. 63-64 are different. Is there something else about 63-64 that would make them different? Grain maybe?
Thanks!
Let me clarify a little more. If you put a 64 red interior next to a 65 red interior will one look more red and the other more orange?
Thanks
Tom,
Yes, if you look at the examples on the back page of the Volunteer Vette catalog, code 35 (64-64) is a darker red than the code 30 (65-67) red interior. The code 30 has almost a tint of orange (more like less burgandy) if you look at it beside the code 35.

Thanks! I thought the 63-64 may be a little "redder". I am asking because I am considering a dark blue repaint on the 65. Perhaps Daytona or late model NRB. I am also considering a red interior with it. I love the look of Daytona blue with red but I'm a little skeptical of dark blue over 65 red. It seems a little orange to my eye.

Decisions....decisions.....
Thanks

Whichever shade you go with- I love it. I have a Daytona blue 64 and as I repair it I'm putting the silver combo interior back in. However red is my favorite and the blue/red IS fabulous
Hey Marc. It's coming.....slowly. I'm in the process of reassembling the rolling chassis and refreshing things as I go. I have the wiring harness to make as well. Body is stripped to the fiberglass but still waiting on the front end to come in. I'm hoping it will be done in March.

I agree. It is a very classic color combo. My car was close to Daytona blue, before the accident, with white interior. The white is just too hard to keep clean. I considered silver but I love the red.

Well Tom I'm not a stickler for the trim tag, but I like the silver dark blue combo interior. Mine has all dark blue now and is going back. Truth? I am not switching to red more out of my wife's preference. She doesn't voice one very often about the car so it's nice to include her.

It's funny you say that. When I show people pics of the color combo 90% of the women don't like it, my wife included, and 90% of the men do. My wife says "whatever you want" but does not care for it.
