The "054" is stamped by the 'dealer' when he received the car into his stock...

The F17 is i believe the month/day of build....

This link might help you, I just bought a 64 and used these to get a handle on the car and numbers. I think F17 is the build date, don't know what the other numbers stamped on is.

By the way, in case it comes up. That's not the Vin. It's the trim plate. The Vin is the number on the plate just to the right of the trim plate.

The 054 would normally be stamped on the Vin plate by the dealer for the date the car sold. This one is apparently stamped on the trim plate and is May of 64.

Default Decode info

The 932 Paint code as you stated is Saddle Exterior, the CA
ECL code after the 490 interior code tells us the car did not have A31 Power Windows or M35 Powerglide trans.
