Recently purchased a 63 Corvette Convertible. Discovered seats were not capable of being bolted to floor. Trying to determine if they are correct seats if not what year the seats are from?

I see this is your first post...welcome to a very helpful forum. Those seats are not from a Corvette. The forward/back adjusters on a Corvette seat are on the front of the seat and the seat back release is on the side not on the rear. Did you drive this '63 before buying it?

Please help me find the seat back release on my '63 seats......
As I am a new corvette owner any suggestions as to what other model year seats will fit in my 63, or suggested aftermarket?
The seat bolt pattern is unique for a 63. No other mid-year seats will fit without changing the floorboard hole configuration. I'm not familiar with aftermarket seats but i would think it's unlikely that you will find something that bolts right in.
Why not buy a pair of 63 seats? They will fit without any modification and they look the best.
This is probably the first of many parts that you will find incorrect for your car. It's something we've all gone through. You can slowly purchase the correct parts over the next future months and years. In the meantime, welcome to the hobby and enjoy your "new" corvette.
There are write ups on how to mount C4 84-96 seats in a mid year. They look good in a coupe. Not so much in a convertible
I resemble that remark! ('84 seats in a '64 convertible for 30 years.) MUCH more comfortable on long trips, and headrests are nice to have if somebody rear-ends your old Sting Ray, whiplash ain't fun! Electric adjustment of the driver seat is also a plus.
