1967 big block coupe... $37K
After reading the original, now locked, post, I contacted the dealership. They sent me the motor stamping, trim tag, vin tag, tranny #'s, NCRS docs order form and title. I have attached a couple for review. Offered them cash in person Sat AM. I have a residence in northern AZ so it was an easy trip. They also blocked my number, will not return voice mails, emails, etc. No big deal... other than why go to the effort of putting up an ad, responding with documents and a picture of the title in their name? And accepting an offer... seems really odd...what's missing? If the guy wanted to sell to the highest bidder, Barrett starts tomorrow in Scottsdale and there is always eBay, craigslist, etc.

Something about the vin plate looks funny. My '67 vin plate is much more accurately/sharply stamped and the number is at the bottom of the plate.

Ok. They probably realized they screwed up.
I like the ad where it says "Lt1"...I think they were trying to say "L-sevenTy-1"
Anyway, I hope you can get it for 37K but I have my doubts...

Tank sticker is fake

VIN derivative characters on engine stamp not the right size, tank sticker all kinds of funky looking, all begs the question: why bother if the price is only $37K?
This dealer is being economical with the truth, no doubt about that.

To be honest I think I jumped the gun to quick on this one. I should have deleted my post. But I want to chalk it up if it's too good be to true it is. It looks to fresh with no signs of it ever being glued to anything. Plus I don't think the N89 line is correct

Those photos match #6814 listed for sale on ebay in 2013 but the engine pad and trim tag now read 6811.
This may have come from the original ebay ad.

1967 Corvette
A very strange thing has happened with this car's vin and engine stamp.
A 1967 Corvette with vin# 194377s106814 was listed for sale on Ebay in March 2013 and sold for $169,000. Car was in Portland, Or. Had the exact same trim tag and tank sticker with job #312. The ebay seller in 2013 posted pictures of the vin, trim tag, engine stamp and tank sticker. Car was described as original motor and stored for 20 plus years. Those photos are identical to the ones on the forum except for the last number in the vin tag and engine stamp.

I dont think so, says he dropped price from 38.5. On my google search it brought the car from Oregon up that sold for 169k. Someone switched Vins for pics. I also googled the other adds on his site and they comeback to an Atlanta car dealer.
The only way to really know what is going on is to have someone in Flagstaff stop at the dealer.
We all know you are not getting that car in pics for 37k.
I am wondering if they hijacked a legit dealers thread or really good thieves.
Whatever happens dont send them any cash.
