What year is this hood?
I just bought this hood to put on my '66 [removing the 67 stinger hood on it]
I assume these holes on the underside are to mount the emblem...but it looks like there was never an emblem installed [it has those little 'tit s ' in all the holes and look factory..]...I this what '67 hoods looked like? Or is this maybe a replacement hood that never had the emblem installed?

Looks to be 67 hood and latter over the counter replacement

Melting Slicks
The rivet heads don't appear to be factory production, and it appears that there was an emblem on it at some point, and the holes have been filled with bondo or something. I am betting if you strip the top side, you will find some filler over the emblem holes.

The topside is bare fiberglass, never had an emblem. The little **** are not filled holes. They are like some sort of a factory locater...Don't go by those rivets....somebody else ground the hinge pad down [and the rivets] 1/8 on this side...evidently it didn't fit his car...other side is mint.
Question, 65'sand 67's no emblem, did either year have the access holes for the speednuts for the emblem? No way on a 65 right?
67 guys chime in...
maybe this is a replacement hood to be used on 65-67? //

65 had no access holes for a emblem. 67 had the access holes but never drilled for the emblem

To the fellas that asked..I will be selling the 67 Stinger but not soon...I'm gonna mess around with the small block hood [refinish]as time allows. Probably won't paint the hood [and probably tops of fenders for a match] until sometime after next summer/fall season.
I'm sure I'll post it here first.

ALL '67 flat hoods have the emblem attachment access holes in the inner panel; it was the last year of production for that hood, and it made no sense to spend the money to modify the mold to remove the access holes that nobody would notice anyway.
