Removing lower ball joint from the A-Arm
On a '66. Got the side nut/bolt off and the top nut under the grease zerk. Question is: is it pressed in to the A-Arm and I just need to press it out?
Thanks in advance

Fastens on the a arm in 3 spots. A rivet (or bolt if it has been replaced) on each side and nut on top. I take a large brass hammer so to not mushroom the bolt and smack the top and it pops out. Might be some rust or crud glueing it in.

On my 72, the uppers popped right off with a pickle fork. The lowers gave me fits. Finally bought the ball joint tool set from HF, that in conjunction with an impact wrench, and got them off. I don't know why the lowers are more problematic.

Hope you have a 'chain' wrapped around the A-frame or a spring compressor to keep it from killing someone...
or you could use some all thread/nut/washers to keep it in place..
This is what i made/used...along with a floor jack..
:::EDIT:::
Should have mentioned where this goes...remove shock and insert it from bottom up and put nuts/washer on then do the bottom...
