C1 Door Glass replacement
I've searched the forums again, and can't locate the company that
sells just the Door Glass - Green tint, year would be cool, but not a requirement.
I see that Corvette Central will rebuild my frames and install new glass for $225.... but I've spent all morning polishing the stainless trim, the screws will all back out, and I'm leaning toward buying the replacement tape and
door seals from CC and locating some glass.
I saw a post that had a vender - but they said the glass was "thinner".
I just measured mine, and they are 7/32" (just under 1/4").
Any advice?
(my passenger door is yellowed between the sheets....)

Door glass is about $50 each side.

More than likely the CC glass you ordered is straight from one of the 2-3 vintage glass vendors anyway.

I called a local glass company, they came out and picked up my broken glass & frame. Came back the next day with new tinted glass & everything, ready to install. $50 total.

IHV - I used Auto City framed door glass assemblies when I recently did my PW installation on the '61. The fit and finish was good and saved me time having to refurbish the old frames and add in new glass.

Solution = try your local glass company
I took my old yellow window by the glass company ... $54.00 including tax for a new clear one. They say it will take a day or two.
Now to order the door seals and tape.
Nice suggestion - thanks 59BlueSilver

I had a local glass company make me green tint side glass, and had the metal trim polished and re-chromed while it was apart.

Glass is back
After seeing some other posts on the thickness of the glass setting tape...(19.95 from the company that has sold me most of my parts....) I was suspicious about it being too thick. Went back to the glass company to see about buying the tape (and comparing it to mine), and sure enough, it was thicker than two different sizes of setting tape they used.
So... having a lot of other things to do, they said they would install the new glass they cut - with whichever tape worked best - for $25.00 I picked it up today, and returned the other tape....
