Default 65 350 Distributor

I opened my distributor cap for the first time and found this blue rotor. Tried finding info on it but there seems to be little. Lots of small white buggers inside the distributor cap so its time for a new cap, rotor, points, etc. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Thanks

Steve

Default Rotor

That's a high performance rotor made by Standard Motor Products. I have their cap & rotor on my engine. They should be available at any auto parts store that sells Standard---Good Stuff !!!

Doesn't look like you have points anymore either. Not much to do in there other than make sure advance mechanism is working correctly.

After you pull the rotor, I believe I'd put it back on there. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I'm convinced.

It appears I have a Standard Products cap and rotor with a Mallory ignition module. And I don't believe I've ever owned a reluctor wheel before! Who ever put it together was having some fun! It all seems to be functioning OK; I just opened it up to do normal maintenance but since its all electronic I'll take your advice and clean it up and leave it be for now.

Thanks all for the input!!

As said before, it's a Mallory Unilite and they are very reliable. In order to protect the unit, get the Mallory Surge Protector MAA 29351 $55 from Summit. It plugs inline per directions. Dennis

Couldn't see the wheel. I should have caught that as I ran one years ago.

Sure you have...most if not all ABS systems have reluctors on each wheel....
