I looked again today down that road that I've been told by several people that there's a '58 Corvette sitting outside. Still didn't see it. I'll keep lookin'. Maybe in the fall when there's less growth. The white and black '68 z28 on that site is about 1 mi from my house and the owner DOES have the orig eng. [but WON'T sell]

Speaking of sad, how was your trip to Kelowna? That auction has closed at a reasonable price.

Mac, I Haven't called the guy back yet but I think it went to California. I went and had a look. It wasn't a bad car but it wasn't for me. Close. Tough decision.

It looked like the price was about right for the condition (based on the pictures I saw) maybe even a bit high. Did he remove the hand controls?

Hand controls were gone, I took it for a drive. Good power, stong car but it needed allmost everything right away. Top, paint, wiring, 4 spd stuff all gone, front end work. If it was a little less money I may have splurged on it. The KO's were repro's and rough. If they were orig that may have made the diff. Like I said, tough decision but I'm o.k. with it. I've got a couple more I'm looking at that are more what I'm looking for, but it's too bad to have to let one go when it's so close to home.
