I would like to speak with anyone who has installed the steeroid Power steering on a C1 Corvette. I have questions about how the brackets fit on the frame. Would like pictures if possible. Please respond if you have installed the system.
I put the Steeroids on my 66 3 years ago. I haven't seen any of the CF members install it on a C1. I am very pleased with it, no issues and it makes the car a joy to drive. The brackets are very strong and were very easy to install. Sorry I can't help but I doubt you fine any C1 owners on cf that have it.
Pretty sure Xplosive Performance has installed some on C1s - might be worth it to give them a call....they might gaff you off since you may not have bought from them but they might well give you some tips too. I think they are a forum sponsor (and local to me in Florida) so here is their contact info: http://www.xplosiveperformance.com/Contact-Us_ep_5.html

Thanks Frankie, I did buy from them, they have been helpful but their photos are not very clear.

Loren,
Your pictures were extremely valuable I'm still in the process of finishing up the installation but with your pictures it has gone more smoothly then I expected. Speed Directs instructions are spotty and the pictures are very poor for a C1 conversion.
Thanks again, I think you should publish a how to guide for steeroids on a C-1.

Not mine, those are Speed Direct's. I have the Jim Meyer IFS. But I would love to hear how your Steeroids works out and how it drives.
i'm installing one now only the exhaust doesn't fit because the rack and pinion is where the crossover should be take a look at the pictures
I finally installed my Steeroids kit, took 39 hours and we had to remove the power brake master cylinder and refit and remake several parts. be careful with the crankshaft pulleys I bought two before I got the right setup from Summit Racing. Speed Direct needs to make a video for the C1 install, their instructions leave a lot to be desired. every thing fit but the clearances are in mm of interfering with other parts.
But after all of the blood , sweat and tears the car is a joy to drive.
