I don't exactly know, nor do I care what the factory did. 
If your car is a driver as mine is, paint all of them a shade of gray. If you are headed in the direction of NCRS specs, those members will advise.

shock shafts - Eastwood sells medium blue-gray paint for shocks, rear lower shock mounts are natural forged steel
rear struts - natural forged steel
half shafts - natural steel
differential - natural cast iron
spring - Eastwood sells spring light gray paint

drive shaft - silver grey
shock shafts - medium blue-gray
rear struts - silver grey
half shafts - silver grey
differential - silver grey
spring - light grey zinc rich self etching primer
