Default New Retro-Sound and Speakers in my 66

Finally got the new Retro-Sound radio, JL Audio amp and speakers installed in my 1966 Coupe. Have not even cleaned up after but it sounds awesome!

Custom enclosures with JL Audio Coaxial speakers

8" JL Audio Sub-Woofer mounted in tool well behind the passenger seat with a hinged cover so that you don't see the speaker. Amp is mounted to the above the jack well on the underside of this cover for a clean install.

6 Channel JL Audio amp

Custom Kick Panel and JL Audio Speakers

Retro-Sound Radio. Had to make a face plate because the guy that I bought the car from had installed a round remote control and had drilled a round hole that was too big for the radio. This is a temporary acrylic piece painted. I plan to make a new one and have it powder coated. Also want to have it water jetted so that the cover has square cut corners. Had to use a router on this one and corners are rounded and the radio has square corners.

Nice work! Nothing like having a quality sound system in a Vette. Drive the miles, and you will get the smiles! Dennis

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I'm working on an audio setup for a 66 vert. Not much room for speaker placement.

Hi Nick,

Really like what you did with your sound system. I plan on doing something similar this winter. Would you mind sharing what amp and speakers you used? I know you said JL Audio in the post, but if you have part numbers I'd appreciate it. Too many choices out there but I've used JL products before and found them to be well made.

Also, more pics of the kick panel speakers would be good to see.

Thanks,
Patrick
