Default Long lost child finally home...

Sent my '67 off to Kevin MacKay in late march, after body, paint, new interior, leather seats, new top and mechanical work, finally brought her home today -- Very happy with the work, Kevin really is a master!!

Default return of the 67

I'll bet you have a lawn chair(several) all set up next to it ...there is something about a REMBRANT for the garage....it looks very nice and crisp.
color great interior nice, floor mats not yellowed...time for all that goes with finished resto... YEP get to it

I actually like the stock floor mats -- I hav ea set of lloyds in my garage, but think I'll stick with the factory set.

I also live in NY and that car is almost identical to mine and looks stunning. Where is this Kevin located?

Valley Stream LI. check him out at corvetterepair dot com.
Don't take my word for it though-- go down to his shop. He'll give you a tour and talk your ear off. Take a look at some of the stuff he has there. He does only corvettes, and most of what I saw there were c1/c2s. IT was really refreshing dealing with body guy that knows his art, cares about these cars, and has done some really, really high-end restos. Every time I go down there I end up spending at least an hour looking at the cars he's working on -- it's like going in a time machine to a dealer show room from the 60s--- just picking the car up today, he had a '66 BB with "big tank," a '69 l88, and a 64, and those were just the cars he was actively working on.

Anyway, check him out. I went through a lot of body guys before I settled on kevin, he's worth the money.

Looks great and sounds like he did it in a reasonable time frame instead of "body shop jail" that most end up in.

yup. I handed it off to him later march, he promised end of may, it slipped to june only because vendor sent incorrect seat covers. by far the best experience I've had with a body shop.

The car looks fantastic and I'm sure it is as I have seen a lot of Kevin's work. The turn around time is excellent!

The Top looks fantastic too.....did he get it for you, or did you bring it to him for the installation?
Was wondering where it came from, as that is my next project.
