Default 65 Coupe Door Seal Question

I am assembling my 65 coupe project and I am working on the weather stripping. At the top of the doors, there is a seal that screws to the body opening. On the new seals that I bought, a lot of the holes are in the wrong place. If I use the existing hole, the rubber is too high and it does not sit in the grove. Is this common or do I just have bad parts? I am thinking of moving the seal a little bit and drilling new holes.

Thanks,

Doc

Please don't drill any holes.

I will give them a try. The Corvette Rubber ones that I have just want to ride too high.

Thanks,

There is a left and right. I know it may seem silly but just check you have them on the correct side.
I just did mine from them and the fit was fine and I did have a senior moment and mix them up.

Yeah, I did that right. They say left or right on the backside. Just for grins, I did try swapping them and it was obvious that was not right. I just hate buying parts twice because of poor quality.

That's quite surprising. Typically, they are the "go to" vendor for rubber seals on Corvettes. They will work with you...great vendor.
