Default pilot bearing part number?

I can find pilot bushings for my 59 BW but all are magnetic. Do any CF members know where to buy brass bushings unmagnetized? Thanks 59 navy

We carry a large inventory of asst'd pilot bushings, the only bearing we carry is for the Pontiacs.

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. Also, what is a "BW"?

Federal-Mogul PB656HD is non magnetic. That being said, I can't find a source for one online. However, Rock Auto has the National PB656HD, and National is owned by Federal Mogul, so there is a good chance it is the same bushing.

Pioneer and SKF are magnetic.

I found that there are usually two bushings listed at a dealer under the same company. The standard one is usually magnetic and the HD one is the non-magnetic one. I believe I last used a National HD one.

Default Bushing

Borg Warner T-10 Side cover 148 B (1960-1963) Main case is T-10 1B (July 59 through Nov 60) Tail is 7 B (60-61) Not correct for 59 but an earlier rebuild using several transmissions. I think I've got it copied down correctly. 59 navy

This is the GM Bronze pilot bushing that was available as of about 5 years ago, not sure if they still carry it but expect they do.

Besides the PB 656HD, GM also carries them, as does Auto Gear. GM Part number in the archives if you search. Contact Auto Gear (forum member) for their part number and cost.

We just went thru this question a few weeks back...........so info is there if you search.

I plugged that number into GM PARTS DIRECT.com and it still shows to be available.
