follow up on transmission linkage & a question
First, thanks for the advice on ways to check and adjust my Borg Warner T-10. All of your advice and photos were helpful. This is my third tranny in 19 years and it is mostly original and set right now.
Now, how much attention do I need to pay to alignment and of the bell housing and drive shaft? It seems to me that the bell housing aligns itself using two guide pins and the tranny bolts on it's flush surface. The drive shaft might need adjustment but not sure how. Thanks again for the help. 59 navy (59 283 1960 BW)

the driveshaft should be OK if the front engine mounts are correct and you use the correct rear motor mount, and you have not raised the rear end so that you have the u-joint angles out of tolerance.
hopefully, you still have the rebound straps installed on the rear axle. these keep the rear axle from moving beyond the u-joints acceptable angles.

I agree with Bill as long as you are using a stock bell housing. If you have a dial indicator and magnetic mount and some time, you might want to check it just to ease your mind. But it's kind of a exercise getting the dial indicator set up inside the bell housing, to read properly on the opening for the transmission.
