I have a 62 with a 350 with 2.5" cast iron manifolds and a full 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust system all the way back. I have found two manufacturers of long tube headers (Hooker & Doug's). Which one of these, or both, will bolt up without any modifications to either the headers or the frame? When I got this car, it had headers, but a portion of the top flange on the passenger side frame was cut back to allow for header fit. One tube also had a small dimple for clearance. I've fixed the frame, but would like to install headers again. Thx.

I just finished installing a set of Dougs headers on my 65 327/350 and while thry are very nice headers .. 16 guage vs 18 guage for hooker ..they bolted up just fine .. Good clearance all around but had to do some fabrication to make the collection end line up with the exhaust pipes.. But. Came out good ..cant say i ever seen a system go on without some modifications..good luck.. . Joe

Thanks all for the responses. Guess I'll try Doug's.
